What can i say?best english hungarian dictionnary as ever.!!!

Simple, straight forward app, but the GUI needs some refineing.

Easy to use, but could have some slang words. Other than that, its pretty good

Not very useful for a person new to learning Hungarian, as I am. Even if the Hungarian alphabet is very regular in its pronunciation, the most needed function for a beginner (to be able to hear the Hungarian pronunciation) is not available. It may be a good app for a Hungarian learning English, but the lack of an Hungarian speech engine limits its usefulness for an English speaker new to Hungarian.

I have found this dictionary one of the best so far, however -- like many other dictionary -- it doesnt provide the proper usage of words in context, such improvement could help the ESL speakers get out of the maze of synonyms.

& the audio is helpful though sometimes too rushed & indistinct. But why is it that English translations of Hungarian terms are often so odd & archaic?

Updated review May 2016: after years of using this line of dictionaries, I only just discovered their very greatest and most unique feature. It must have been added to the app along the way while I was asleep. This feature allows the user to export the history of the words he has looked up, as a text file or cvs file, and email i, complete with definitions. So you can load your whole vocabulary into excel. Sheer brilliance. I own dozens of expensive dictionary apps, and only this brand has this marvelous capability. Bravissimo! ********** Our family owns five dictionaries by Bitknights, and we find them better than any produced by other companies, including ones that cost 10 times as much. Now theyve added audio Hungarian pronunciation -- really useful.

This application only features phonetic pronunciations for the English words, not for the Magyar. And if you download the voices, they only speak English.

Im in Hungary now, and this dictionary has been marginally helpful. It needs a couple of things: - phonetic spelling - this is a difficult language, and pronunciation is critical. I can see the words, but need to know how to say them. - a verbal component - I would gladly pay extra to hear words pronounced. - more words - I came across a number of words it couldnt translate; e.g., "I want a one way ticket."

This dictionary is probably a little too much for the tourist or someone not fluent in both languages.

But my favourite offline dictionary!

Somebody wrote that it could be some more worlds and option... Maybe my English is so poor but I just love it! its awesome.

As a tourist in Budapest this was better than buying a paper dictionary on the fly, but having looked up perhaps 50 words today I notice a few glaring gaps, including the word HELLO. Perhaps just a spelling mistake for Hallo. Indeed, I do agree with previous reviewer - Colo.

This is a disappointing app or a very misleading one. Bought the original app but no voice option, bought the voice and it pronounces English words now, not Hungarian ones!!! Separate for buying voice and they probably want me to buy the Hungarian pronounciation app!!! Rip-off!
